White is a solid coach that had the impossible task of replacing Donovan.
I was hoping schools would overlook him until Hamilton retired

Probably need to wait at least 2-3 years before we decide who was the best hire of the cycle.

I agree it would have been damn near impossible to match Donovan, but White's Florida tenure was interesting. He was never "bad" relative to the rest of college basketball. But absent one run to the Elite 8 he always seemed to hover around being good...but not THAT good. Florida could boat race top 5 Kentucky in one game...then turnaround and lose at home to a last place team. I always picked White's Florida teams to win the (usually) 7/10 game in the tournament, but never advance any further.
However, if he has the same level of success at Georgia it will be cause for celebration!
