Gundy would be a great hire. Much better than the last 2 for Tenner.

Kiffen really screwed you guys, it would be good to see you get a good coach.

IMO, Strong and Fisher would be solid too.

People just don't announce interviews, I think the OP's source is making stuff up.

I actually worked security there for a good minute. Pretty fun and dangerous club.

Worked at EC too, lots of c-sections and single mommies.

made good memories and good friends at both places. Calf Fry gives the Weed the edge. I wish NWA had a big club with a music venue that could hold 10,000 rowdies.

I sort of agree. I also think ADs generally move from one person to the other, not several candidates at the same time. Mostly because they should have their guy lined up through back channels before it ever gets to that point. When legit info starts disseminating they should already be fairly close to a deal.

Gundy will interview with Tennessee on Sunday. Tennessee had planned on being in New York on Sunday for the search, but the Gundy interview wil likely take place elsewhere. Florida State's football banquet takes place Sunday night, so Tennessee's interview with Jimbo Fisher will likely take place on Monday in FL. Charlie Strong has told people around him that he feels his interview with Tennessee yesterday in the Indianapolis area went well.

I call BS on all of this. There's no way these coaches, all of whom are at decent jobs, are interviewing and having that out there for public consumption...no way.

All of this is handled by agents behind closed doors and the coach denies everything until he springs it on everyone. It's like Let's Make A Deal.

aren't all the ADs and coaches going to be in the North East tomorrow for the selection of BCS bowls?

Then why did OSUs AD say UT has not requested permission to speak to Gundy?

Likely b/c Holder doesn't answer his phones. His fat secretary screens for that man like none other.

Holder wouldn't know if the POTUS called to seek advice on golf game.

That's the one thing Holder does well. The man can coach some golf.

Fisher would be a fail hire, imo. If he can't get over the hump with FSU talent, what will he do with just good talent?

True but it took awhile for FSU to recover from the end of bobby

If fisher at FSU had turned the corner then we wouldn't be having this conversation. The question is can he turn the corner?

Nonsense. Dooley doesn't win games. Dooley was never the coach for the best team Tennessee ever had. Gundy wins games. Gundy was the coach for the best team Okie State ever had.
