I posted in the Gruden thread. It's anchored for some reason.

BobbyRay came back to take his medicine. He did post in the Gruden thread. I give him credit for that. We forgive you BobbyRay.

Gundy will interview with Tennessee on Sunday. Tennessee had planned on being in New York on Sunday for the search, but the Gundy interview wil likely take place elsewhere.

Otis Kirk and Robert Turbeville of Hawgs247 report that Jeff Long was to meet with OSU's Mike Gundy this morning at 9:00 a.m. There is no word on whether the meeting took place or the outcome. This is the first reputable report we've seen on interviews. -- Sharp.

probably. Would be a 'ok' hire. He's 61 and hasn't won more than 8 games since 2000.

Fisher? Is that who think we'll get or who you want? I want nothing to do with Fisher. He is decidedly mediocre, imo.

I'm not bullish on Strong either, but I'd take him over Jimbo "poor man's mark richt" Fisher.

Butch Davis, in my opinion, would be a great hire. A coach that stresses defense, a ball control, pro set offense. Butch or Strong would be the best hires in my opinion.

Tennessee just fired a coach that stressed offense over defense and now you pursue Gundy? Makes no sense to me.

I have zero problem with any of those names.

I would still like to see Tubervile on the list, but won't throw a rod if he isn't.
