He will be like Garner to UGA, they didn't want him anyway.

Is this guy any good? First reaction is that I don't want a coach from MSU...

Why would we be hiring another Secondary coach?

And just for clarification, we haven't hired him, he's just a possibility to be the last defensive assistant.

Very misleading title

The guy who recruited and developed 3 star J Banks and 2 stars C Broomfield and D Slay into NFL draft picks.

I've always thought he was an average DB coach. He was on Fran's staff at Alabama.

Would it help with Mackensie Alexander?

We can only have nine assistant coaches, and if people really believe we are still looking at Rocker along with Melvin Smith, that would put us at five coordinators on defense alone. We'll need a special teams coach, so that leaves room for one more hire for the offensive side of the ball.

We still need a WR, RB, and TE coach.

I'm a little skeptical at hiring two coaches for the secondary alone anyway.

That can be a doubled up position, like Boulware was with TEs and ST.

But yeah, this seems highly unlikely. to me. We still need a LB coach, unless Ellis is going to coach them, and Tyrone Nix is a name that keeps getting floated around.

I think that's a possibility more so than this.
