Carter's move. Lane ain't budging. He wants to finish the season. Carter will have to fire him

It's a win win for Lane. If they fire him then he can say he didn't leave like he did at Tennessee and I'm sure that's the situation he's trying to avoid. If they don't fire him, he still gets to coach.

Kiffin wants to hedge on the LSU offer and see if he can win a championship at Ole Miss and only jump to LSU if he can't.

LSU is being played here big time

Looks like LSU is being held hostage to me.

Do you trust Lane with a handshake that he will come here after the playoffs? Do the portal players trust that he will come here after the playoffs? Do the high school commits trust he will come here?

What is Ole Miss wins the damn thing? Will he still come here? Hell, he might go to the NFL if he wins with Ole Miss.

And, we probably won't even be able to go to our "other plans" because even Baker will probably have a job by then. Are y'all satisfied with Frank leading this team next year?

Right now, all we are doing is taking his word. He doesn't owe LSU anything.

I think LSU ,at the very least, must make Lane make a public comment that he is coming here after Ole Miss playoff run - tomorrow at the latest.

This is getting ridiculous.

Bro he isn’t winning with that team but he wants to finish what he started. Let him finish it Ole Miss is making it so bad he will leave with us or somebody else next year.

There’s really nowhere else for LSU to go other than to wait it out. The candidates this coaching cycle go from a solid coach in Lane to basically no good options. It’s a really bad hiring pool.

I hope everyone can agree that the fact that college football has gotten to the point that people (including the big wheels) legitimately expect a coach who has coached a program to one of it's best seasons ever, has it on the cusp of of making the playoffs, with a chance to compete for a national champion to drop it all, say "frick you" to his team, and go somewhere else before that season is finished is............complete and total bullshite that needs to change.

Oh wow. I didn’t know Neil McCready works for On3 Ole Miss. I went to school with him from 4th to 12th grade. Neil is a good guy. Whatever he said will at least be truthful.

If his update is legit we got Lane. Looks like a win to me.

Correct, Lane has them by the balls. It unfortunately is dragging out for LSU too.

That’s because the collection of dipshits running LSU have NO backup plan. They can’t just move on because they are fricked. They didn’t pursue anyone else.

LSU has handled this so poor that they are forced to allow Kiffin to leverage them into whatever he wants

Like I said I grew up with Neil. Lost track of him because we went to different universities. Last time I talked to him he was doing radio in Mobile. From my understanding he got sideways with management and the listeners because he was too honest about Alabama and Auburn. It does not surprise me Neil went into a career of journalism and communications because he was the only one that would say the prayer in Sunday school. Whatever Neil says is 100% straight factual. He’s a man of integrity.
