Because of pro/rel and how much $$ a team loses if they fall out of the top 4 and teams will pull the trigger as soon as things look they’re dropping off.
Also it’s a little closer to an NBA or MLB type situation than football. I mean I haven’t looked but how many long term coaches are there in either of those leagues?
