3-3-5 or 4-2-5? What's the difference, they can both work

I don’t think he meant schematically—he meant from a recruiting perspective. It’s a lot harder to recruit elite defensive linemen to play in a scheme where they don’t get to rush the passer and their entire purpose is to fill gaps so that the LBs can eat up all the glory.

This will get downvoted because people don’t want to hear anything negative about matt campbell, but it is definitely easier to recruit DL to come play in an even front than it is to come play in and odd front

I dont understand the infatuation. Aside from going 9-3 in a Covid season, what has he accomplished worth talking about?

Well, for one thing, he has literally said that.

Yeah, I don't agree.

Campbell does a great job recruiting to Iowa State. At a place like that, you're not going to get a bunch of 4-5 stars. It's more about development.

Finding a coach who knows how to find overlooked talent isn't a bad thing. Finding a coach who can develop that talent when they get to campus is a great thing.

Everyone knows that LSU will get almost all of the LA kids. Campbell won't have to try hard.

Give him some A+ assistants and I bet he'll recruit to LSU's standards.

He has winning success at Iowa State, which is equivalent to having winning success like 7-5, 8-4, or 9-3 seasons every year at Kansas.

Well actually if you could read you would have noticed that I was just answering that guy’s question, and that I never said that we should count campbell out as a result.

Congratulations, though, on being the absolute most predictable fricking homer in the world, so insecure that you’re completely unwilling to consider a single very slightly negative aspect of a candidate.

3x Big XII Coach of the Year
.556 Winning Percentage at Iowa St. working on Most wins in program history. Been there for 5 years. Most wins in program history is 56 and took 11 years to do it.
Toledo ranked in the Top 20 under Campbell
Mentioned for NFL gigs

Again, I’m not sure what some of yalls expectations are for Iowa St.

And I am just saying to the original guy that Aranda would be out for him as well if he didn't think a 3 man front would work in the SEC. Calm down dude. I would be fine with Campbell, Aranda, Lincoln or Napier. Just not Franklin, Tucker or BoB

Harsin has done a hell of a job on the Plains IMO? They could have done a hell of a lot worse, and he has them in every game, and playing hard. I would’ve traded him for O in a second.

Iowa State was recruiting the 60’s when he got there, they’re in the 30’s now

He’s also very well regarded as an evaluator, which is something we need after two straight coaches who stargaze

Those 3-3-5 or 4-2-5 defenses are setup to have the ability to bring blitz from all over the fricking place. We are talented on defense and have some guys like Landon Jackson and Phillip webb who will be all over the place in that defense. Jay ward and cordale flott have become poor mans honey badger.

I’m very very confident that the film we put out in the last 3 games will show the new staff what our players are capable of. Guys, we will be nasty as the frick on defense next year.

Remember all those defensive players everyone’s always asking about like Jackson, webb, sampah, all of those guys weren’t playing because they don’t fit 4-3 , it’s not because they suck. We will have hybrid players all over the place . I’m more concerned about offense and what cambell likes for his oc to run or maybe even run himself

I know nothing about cambell and his offenses and if he calls plays. Someone who knows what they are talking about and have done some research could really do the board a service by explaining what his teams do on offense and how involved he is

How would a good coach be doing at Iowa St in your opinion? Couple of Big 12 titles by now?

Them frickers have already given up on the dude, hit pieces are everywhere man. It seems like admins not happy either.

Lets get down to brass tax here, all the shite being written is a way to tell the world he has a deadline for being vaccinated coming up.

It would be beautiful if he called there bluff. Not that I’m super anti vax , I just love drama and people standing up for something

He's two "Bo Nix scramble" plays against LSU and a Georgia State prayer away from being 4-7. Not to mention, Auburn is currently ranked 32nd in recruiting with the early signing period coming up in 3-4 weeks. Trust me, that aint a "Hell of job" to most Auburn fans.
