You are talking about two seasons with transfers out of eight he was either the offensive coordinator or the head coach.
You are also talking about a recruiting base / location that provides about 1/10th of what is available in Louisiana. Football for HS in the Northwest isn't such a big deal. Soccer is king in the northwest for field sports.

There are actually people in here scoffing at a guy who has a Top 2" offense while having 2 marginal QBs his season?
yes, because people don't know anything about him other than he was just fired at Oregon.
The truth is, most people on this board don't know much more than what wikipedia says about a coach's history.
90% of the posts on this board are 'binder' jokes, sarcasm, and very little constructive opinion.

You have to look a little deeper than ppg and rankings when considering the quality of an offense a HUNH scheme. We've seen over and over again how offensive stats can be inflated while defensive stats can be skewed negative as a result.
True. It'd be great to have our defense tired as shite in the 3rd quarter...

Or can we put all of Oregon's offensive success to Chip?

He's doing something here.

Agreed. He's been around a number of offensive gurus during his time. An interview would be worthwhile to see what his Binder says . . .

Chip was the play caller from 2007-2012 and then Scott Frost was the playcaller when Mark became HC. This is widely known

He's certainly doing something with the play card right?

Holding it and checking what his playcaller just called. After Frost left last season, Matt Lubick became the playcaller.
Look, the point remains that he was never the playcaller at Oregon and I want an experienced playcaller at LSU.

I want somebody who can create plays and schemes to maximize our talent who is a scholar of studying film and dissecting an opponent's weaknesses. I want somebody who can create a dynamic offensive scheme understood and well executed by all eleven on the field to accomplish the desired result.
If the coordinator puts together the outstanding playbook meeting the criteria above, don't you believe that is more important than who is specifically calling the particular play? Hell, we already had 10+ seasons of that by Miles. Move on.

Having greats play ain't sh*t if you don't know when or when not to use them. I'm still not sold he knows that, especially in the SEC when some games call for smash mouth.
