Not really. Guys have different priorities and goals

Hell we just saw the coach from ULL turn down the head coaching job at an elite SEC job.

Go back in time and tell that to someone and they would’ve laughed in your face without context.

It isn’t LSU. Anyone will have trouble pulling him unless you are Ohio state.

That won’t affect anything. It’s announced all the time before bowl games. They aren’t in playoffs.

If Nielsen has told LSU no then it's a full court press for Freeman.

Well, you can but there is a price to pay if you formalize it. A CIW gets treated as a head coach in recruiting. This limits the type and kind of contact he can have with recruits more so than a position coach. Not a good thing for Cincy if this guy is an ace recruiter. This is why you don't see it anymore.

he’s brought some stuff before earlier than others. He knows the right people.

Like he said, wouldn’t bring it unless he was sure.

I have no doubt the short list was Mason, Nielsen, Freeman. I also have no doubt it would be extremely tough to pull Nielsen given he may get a DC job soon.

He's reputable. This probably has legs.

That’s a crazy good scoop then. Last night Billy said on 24/7 it wasn’t happening.

If this is legitimate then Adam gets elevated to GOAT insider.

The only thing I’ve ever called was Sage Ryan back in September, I’m not a typical football insider what so ever.

Simply passing on what I heard. I like Freeman I hope it works.

He’s a very legit source for LSU Baseball info. I’ve never seen him post inside info about football but i trust his baseball scoop, he has a strong reputation and I’m sure he wouldn’t BS about what he’s hearing.

Adam - not to derail your thread but have you heard anything specifically in regards to which players leaving early for the draft? Or are they waiting to see who the new hires are?

It sounds like Freeman is the top choice. Let's see how much $ he is willing to turn down.

Nielson did decline the offer. It’s Freeman and Mason at the top of the board now. Freeman will discuss the position after Cincy’s Bowl Game and obviously we all know Mason has had preliminary contact with LSU

His 100% where I’m at. If you shoot your shot and he says, no thanks, then so be it. You have to take a shot with him. Make him walk away from the payday and the chance to coach in the best division/conference in football.
