I do not know why people are so in love with Kiffin. He is not a great coach at all. Certainly not better than Malzahn.

Yeah I wouldn’t want to pay him that but I guess auburn didn’t like the other choices if he left. Jimbo getting 7.5 starting to look better and better.

Malzahn was never coming to Arkansas I don’t know why people fell for that smoke screen. He was never offered the job. But he played it well.

As I said in SECCG Thread nothing was coming out of Tulsa about an offer. Just idiot Arkansas reporters

Gus had to get a raise.

Putting him above Mullen seemed like a given. We'll see how quickly the new K gets to 7 million

yep, because Arky is Gus' "dream job" and he could not pass up that opportunity.

247 reporting deal is for 5 years, looks like he will get annual raises that AT THE END could be near $7M.

LINK
UPDATE (6:05 p.m.): The deal is structured with raises every year of the contract, with it reaching up to $7 million per year near the end of the deal, according to a source.

Arkansas May be his “dream job” but he has enemies all over and he’s connected to stAte and Auburn. He allowed the fan base to be split. But don’t worry you know all that I’m sure.

Malzahn is not loved and people have memories. If it was offered he would have come.

some more details about the new contract

quote:

The numbers in the new contract at Auburn are not yet clear, but the deal is expected to stretch seven years and include a raise, the source said. Auburn's buyout was a point of contention during the negotiation process and more guaranteed money has been promised to Malzahn should he be fired before the end of the new deal.

UPDATE (6:05 p.m.): The deal is structured with raises every year of the contract, with it reaching more than $7 million per year near the end of the contract, according to a source.

it was offered and no he didn't come.

ETA but that is the narrative of some of the Arky fans.........because heaven forbid any coach would turn down Arky.

It was not

You need to remember how many enemies he has here. There are people who would’ve turned on him much like what happened at UT.
