Never before has a program done so little with so much, like Texas has
The point is that Texas does have so much. Much more than anybody else. That is one of the reasons Saban should take the money and run. He could absolutely kill it at Texas.

No news until tomorrow when Mack Brown steps down

And you wonder why other programs would cheer Saban leaving? Many are sick of Bama and more importantly, Bama fans.
You wouldn't have to hear Bama fans rambling about this if UT fans weren't such arrogant f'ing pricks. You folks live in a great city, have lots of personal wealth, and have a great school but that isn't enough for you. All you hear is condescending comments about the Alabama fanbase, how sh###y and overrated the Alabama program is historically in comparison to Texas, and so on. You guys don't understand the concept of graciousness.

Hell, I agree
What are y'all gonna think when he doesnt leave? Clearly he's insane, right?

I'm guessing if he leaves, you're not going to be the least bit gracious about it. You already seem to be on the verge of tears. So spare us.

Exactly, and the whole country got 'Bamafatigue after three years. Imagine how sick and tired everybody will be when Texas gets 5 straight titles. It'd be like the John Wooden led UCLA basketball teams in the 70s, but with a far less likeable John Wooden.

I don't think LSU fans are quite as attached to Miles as Bama fans are to Saban.

I don't disagree with you, but that has nothing to do with Saban's thought process.

They call him Deer In The Headlights Miles
No UT for Miles
No UT for Miles

I'll be totally understanding. I even posted a congrats thread on the Texas scout thread but it didn't go through because you have to sign up as a member of their site for it to go through.
I posted the following on page 394 but you obviously aren't keeping up with the thread and missed it. Sounds pretty gracious and understanding of the situation to me.

That's one part of the reason I think Saban ends up at Texas. I said it before and I'll say it again, as much as some of you want to look at this move as a black eye on Alabama's reputation, the evidence doesn't point to that. There is literally NOTHING Saban can do at Alabama that can top 3 titles in 4 years. He's been in Tuscaloosa 7 years so he obviously is fond of the place. You can love a place while still wanting to experience somewhere new and exciting where you are needed. I think the money (debts paid off aside) isn't as big a factor as complacency and a bit of boredom with success at Alabama is. It just makes a lot of sense from a change of scenery/recharge the batteries/brand new start in a new interesting place kind of way.

Yeah, no point in releasing Mack Brown only to replace him with Mack Brown Lite.
