A thread I made two days ago. People ITT actually said it was trolling.

I'm more just forwarding confidence from someone that's connected. I probably could have put it differently but it seems like it's done so I won't sugarcoat.

Because he and sexton are probably milking this for money. That's his end game.

That angle has been discussed. Saban has said that he doesn't want to be seen as pushing Mack out, which is why you are seeing the Mack Brown thing unfold as "his decision" to resign. Mack will get paid, go out with some dignity, and Saban will ride into town on a burnt orange elephant.

Wouldn't Saban be available next year?

I don't see why not, and that's what I don't understand. Seems like this is just a "we want this done now" if all this is true

It seems to negate the whole "urgency" of the search.

Why would Saban want to take over such a dysfunctional political shark tank?

And Saban could have shut it down last night if he wanted to as he was back in Tuscaloosa.

Where he happens to be doesn't matter...I'm sure there is a camera crew/reporter very near him at all times. He could end this right now......but then the contract leverage also ends.

IMO this is just Saban being Saban. He is working both sides for a bigger check. Period. Doubt he leaves bama, just wants more $$.

To me, the real trouble comes next season IF he stays (and I think he will stay and uses this situation to get more $$$$$) and bama loses a game or two and fails to make it to even the SEC championship game (not likely, but could happen). There's your meltdown.

I agree.

My point I inefficiently tried to make is that to me his silence is deafening.

I think he could get whatever he wants from Bama without the UT leverage at this point.

I hope I am proven wrong...but oh well.

Saban is in Hinesville, GA today visiting with Raekwon McMillan the #1 LB in the nation who is announcing on 12/16. I think Urban Meyer has a in home in a few days as well.

Bama is expected to drop a few games next year.

We are breaking in a new QB. But hey, that's how its been the past two times we've broken in a QB.

They are citing a tweet by the orangebloods guy.

It seems like more and more "insiders" on the UT side all have the same sort of details leaking out. Either some guy at UT is trolling all of them or their is legitimate smoke here.
