I dont really understand it fully, but its pretty damn cool.

Here's what I know and a others can definitely clean it up and/or add to it:

Saban has use of PBJ jet for a certain # of hours per year. The jet flew from Tuscaloosa to Austin Monday and has been there since. This morning its returning to Tuscaloosa. The UT AD's jet has also been tracked from Austin to NW Arkansas where Saban was reportedly confirmed on a recruiting trip.

Other jets tied to the schools have some other connections with flights to New Jersey where meetings are taking place etc but here's where I get a little foggy.

Hopefully I didnt totally screw this up

I feel like TD should get an award for all this.

I wonder why PBJ would allow Saban use of his jet to negotiate a new job. Are the number of hours in Saban's contract? I guess that would mean PBJ can't say no.

Its not clear Saban is on that plane. But if I remember correctly Saban gets 25 hours per year of personal use of that jet.

Cant imagine he would use that plane to fly around negotiating a UT deal.. Thats just insane. Not to mention, bama would know where the plane was going etc. Saban's agent probably owns 5 jets, better to use an unknown one.

Good fun though...

keep in mind, Bama is negotiating too, they are going to be kissing Nick/Sexton arse to no end. They may be saying, go find out what the highest $ is and we will match it.

Also, its funny to me how dumb college admins are in the negotiating game. Sexton " Nick would only leave Alabama for UT"

Alabama pres on 60 minutes " He is the best investment we have ever made"
talk about setting yourself up before the dealing ever gets started.

a thing is though Alabama with its prestige could lure some big names and if they have already shown they are willing to pay Saban 7 mil that is plenty to lure most coaches.

so they may let Saban go because they know they can replace him with someone very good and save 3 mil in the process.
