Based on our passing game this year, would you promote him?

Nope, but many of JJ's bone head plays, we had guys open all over

Nobody here knows who was in charge of what in terms of team prep on the offensive side of the staff.

Should we not hold Stud accountable for the OL?

Personally, i only think they gave him that title so they could pay him more. I think Crowton was the one in control of the passing game this season

Stud did a good job with the OL this year. Last year they sucked but 07 and 08 they were strong. Stud gets a bad rap overall imo.

my biggest worry with BG is that JJ's experience would hold weight in the starting qb battle whereas a new face would be less likely to give a crap about that.

So that he could leave Florida for another job that wasn't the same position. Contract issue.

A lot of these titles have been created over the past 10-15 years to pay coaches more money, it doesn't acutally mean he was in charge of the passing game. That being said,it doesn't mean that Gonzales can't be a very good OC.

quote:yes he does. Did ppl not see the OL destroy a&m in the bowl and the enormous running lanes the RBs had? LSU also had a 1000+ yard rusher w/ a terrible passing game

So he was a glorified receivers coach?

No way Stud is going anywhere.
Players like him, and for every pain we suffered in '09, it will pay off in experienced depth in '11.
Not to mention, much of the line's problems could probably be traced back to Crowton.
I say we place ALL blame squarely on Crowton.

The O-line is collateral damage because people like to make funny jokes about T-Bob.
There is also the lingering effects of people wanting to overstate Herm Johnson's abilities (as a means to tearing down Lee's performance in 2008) so that they could keep making even funnier "pick 6" jokes back in the day.
