My only question about this is that both Kragthorpe and Cameron are QB coaches/gurus. Not sure if they have the same philosophy for developing QBs. If they do, then fine. If not, it could cause issues. Plus, with Kragthorpe's condition, I could see Les giving him a much less demanding role as an administrator of some sort. That would allow us to continue to care for his family financially during this time and not have two coaches with the same skill set trying to do the same job.
I think it is inevitable that Krags will end up in an office at some point anyway as his condition continues to progress.

Top of my wish list. Would fap until it bled
i would stop short of bleeding but Tim Drevno would be incredible. i have so much admiration for the way stanford plays the game that anyone from their staff would be a great addition.
i realize were just making things up here based on nothing but wishes, but couldn't he coach the OL and TE's? thats somewhat common, is it not? then we could dump studrawa (i refuse to call him "stud") and ensminger for Cameron and Drevno while keeping Krag (who I actually like).

During Cameron's time at Baltimore Jim Zorn and Jim Caldwell were QB coaches, so it's not unreasonable to think Krag's would stay on to work with QBs.

mcgaughey is supposed to want to broaden his resume from just being a special teams guy. i think he could take the joe robinson route and find a position coach job somewhere in texas. if that happens, i think you can bring in a ST/TE coach. it would seem that only 3 defensive coaches and all the rest for offense is greatly unbalanced, but i think chavis' extreme competence as a coach makes up for it. just give the defense an extra GA or two to get help with drills and grunt work. ensminger becomes a baglio type or goes back to tubby. stud either leaves or gets his old role back. and hopefully someone like cameron comes in and takes over Les' role as the offense overseer. Les can focus on recruiting and improving his game management skills, and can get reports from cameron on how the offense is doing. that would be a scenario in which the offense takes a true step in fixing the offensive issues. the offense needs a boss. i dont think there is a true boss of the offense currently.

if that happens, i think you can bring in a ST/TE coach.

Can you say what changed for you to bump this up to 85%, without outing your sources?

well another source popped up and is very legitimate...along with mine that have all said the exact same thing. and that is, that cam cameron will be our new OC in a short time period following the bash. when 3 seperate sources are telling me identical info, it leads me to believe its very true because everything theyve told me has come to fruition in the past
eta: i never give 100% chances of things happening so take the 85 fwiw

Mcgaughey multitasks with the DL and helps brick. A special teams guy needs something else to do at practice because they only practice st for a small portion of it. TE coach is easy because they also work with the OL and WRs during practice. It's generally an entry level type job or an ace recruiter type job. Neither of which are ensminger. TE coaches are also often recruiting coordinators or ST coordinators.

I am hearing from a source that is CLOSE to the LSU football program that there will be a staff change. Which probably means Cam will be hired. I was never told specificly which coach(es) will leave.

I like this thread
clearly lots of people do, its 11 pages long now, so what are the odds we can finally take the anchor off it?

Stud is a good line coach. Just an awful OC.

NOOOOO! For the love of God no! 11 pages of largely rantard free discussion. If it gets to go back to the front page.....well you can imagine the train wreck.

Anchor is what's saving this thread. Just got back from Le Creole with my best source. This deal is going down unless something unforeseen happens or someone offers Cam something he can't refuse. I've been conservative with my percentages. I think I said 65% last time. I'd say 85% now. Money won't be the biggest factor here according to my "brain". The absolute biggest factor in this is if Les will give full control to Cam. I "think" that Cam has shown concern with just 1 aspect...and that concern is going the way of the Crowtons and the Studs. Basically if the offense fails Cam wants it to be on him an because of him. But this guys is an NFL guy and a great offensive mind. :inb4RayRice: I "think" the offense would look very similar to Stanford. Check downs and pressure releases to TE's, big set runs with counters off of it, lots of Ace, and most importantly (2 things) he will get Mett to become more comfy with being in the gun and as we've seen with Flacco, the deep ball for Mett will be more on point.
