LSU's dogshit defense allows 408.5 YPG. The "great" Mel Tucker's MSU defense gives up 406

YPG.
LSU ranked 91st in total defense. MSU 89th.
And MSU hasn't played anyone good yet.
Things to consider before lauding Tucker as a "defensive genius."

He didn’t recruit this team. He’s actually running a variation of the 4-3 because of the personnel he was left with. He a 3-4 coach.

LSU gives up 448.4 ypg
Michigan State gives up 423.2 ypg
Both pretty crappy
Georgia is best in the nation giving up only 209.1 ypg
Only 2 SEC defenses are worse than LSU in ypg - Vandy and Missouri

You aren’t following the narrative. All he needs is to just hire good coordinators and a Natty is a lock.

They are 19th in points.

Those stats sound racist to me

Not allowed to talk about points
Would ruin the OP's premise

Where did you get those stats? Just curious. I took mine from the official NCAA site:

Or...it's in line with his defenses at just about every stop he's been at. Stop making excuses for this man. He's just a guy.

How many 4 and 5 stars on that MSU defense?
How many on LSU's?
How many on LSU's?

The man was announced as the MSU HC in Feb 2020, couldn’t recruit or coach his team until August. He’s literally coaching through his first full recruiting cycle with Mark Dantonio players and has them undefeated and ranked in the top 10.

Now do every other stop he's been at as DC and how either 1) the units sucked or 2) they improved after he left.

Good before he came, improved when he left.

He literally came with Kirby from Alabama in 2016. Try again.
