Indecisive dilly-dallying, together with the surprise competition from Florida, have relegated this program to a dark corner of the football world. Contrary to popular opinion, marquis coaches are NOT beating our door down.

Slowly but surely, the fan base is coming to the realization that we don't shite vanilla ice cream.

Florida hired a coach LSU never pursued ,so there was no competition on their end.

Now that Riley to USC has been announced, it's obvious LSU was never an option for him as well.

Based on that info LSU hasn't competed with any of the big schools that have hired coaches so far.

OU might go after Aranda though.

Or, hear me out, LSU may hire the next great coach but fans will hate it because he isn't a "name".

Lincoln Riley was never going to compete in the SEC because his philosophy is soft and finesse. He would have been a bust.

LSU needs someone to re-emphasize physicality and toughness so they won't be averaging 2 yards per rush against ULM.
