Get the Iowa DC and call it a day.

You need something to fix your soft linemen. Lsu always has plenty of skilled people, but OL/DL is suspect.

OL? WTH? Have you see the OL that Kelly and Davis have put together?

Some of you must only follow LSU and casually follow the rear of college football.
Phil Parker has been at Iowa for 24 years. He has been offered the Ohio State Defensive Coordinator position a few years ago.
No way in hell would he go to Baton Rouge.

Parker works great at Iowa, but I’m not sure how he how well he would translate to a school like LSU.
However, assuming he would never leave Iowa might not be accurate. How long does Ferentz keep coaching at Iowa?
Hayden Fry had a lot of long term assistants during his tenure at Iowa. They began jumping ship to other jobs when retirement rumors started. Fry ended up coaching several more years through the 90’s, but a lot of those coaches and players from the 80’s that left Iowa ended up building an impressive coaching tree.

He's from Ohio, played at Michigan State. He's a Midwesterner. If he were to have left, it would have been Ohio State or Michigan--they've both shown interest several times.
Not everyone wants to move to Baton Rouge. Quality of life and low-key living is attractive to Midwesterners.
Adding, that yes Hayden's team and staff was great in the 80s. Bill Snyder was the OC and went to rebuild Kansas State. Kirk was his OL coach in the early 80s.
Iowa is a fantastic place to live and coach. The Stoops Brothers all wanted to coach there. Bob want3d the job when Kirk got hired. Mark wants the job badly when Kirk retires. (they all played at Iowa)
The way of life and media pressure between Iowa City and Baton Rouge are night and day.

Haha exactly, like go get Leonard, go get this guy, it’s not that easy. Also, need somebody that can recruit too, Leonard doesn’t like to recruit.

I was on the fence about either getting the best, worst, or most mediocre
