I believe Woodward already has his pick signed. When I see headlines like this (targeting, pursuing, or any word other than signed), i take it as agents putting this out or people tired of not knowing and throwing something against the wall to see if it sticks. We will know soon enough. The longer it takes, the better bet is the coach still has something to play for.

Absolutely hate this if true. Napier was young, innovative, and showed a lot of promise. Kelly is a retread and never done anything but get drilled in the playoffs. Hate this hire if so

Uh, Brian Kelly is firmly in "should not under any circumstances be poachable" territory. It's a complete slam dunk hire. The only legitimate criticism you can have is that he's not a coach that will be coaching at LSU for 20 years, but you can't say that about anybody. The young guys will probably try out the NFL, and the old guys are too old.

that's the word. maybe lsu is doubling back with more money. 10 years ago this would make some sense. also hearing that no one wants to touch lsu with possible sanctions incoming. i don't know what to believe if i'm being honest.
