Sources tell FootballScoop LSU is seeking to hire Elijah Robinson away from Syracuse.
Robinson was hired by Fran Brown as defensive coordinator when he landed the Syracuse head job. He previously had served as the chief defensive line coach and recruiting lead at Texas A&M. When Jimbo Fisher was let go, Robinson stepped up and led the team as interim head coach before taking on his first opportunity to serve as defensive coordinator at Syracuse.
Fran Brown recently announced Robinson would no longer serve as defensive coordinator but would be co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach.
LSU is looking for Robinson to focus on the defensive line.
Look for resolution on this one no later than tomorrow.

A lot of experience, what do his defensive lines look like?

Dline coach before DC?

He was just demoted and gave up 70 to Notre dame a couple weeks ago. Am I missing something?

Perhaps they have a DC lined up but cannot announce at this time except to recruits? Baker isnt also officially gone so I imagine that plays a role in it as it would look bad if your DC wasnt gone and you hired a new one.

Sometimes great position coaches don't make great DCs. It happens, it could be the case here and he adopts a Bo Davis type career where he just isnt cut out for DC but is S tier d-line coach and will be valued as such.

Cuse went to the shitter when the qb got hurt against Clemson then they pretty much quit a few games later when they started playing the 3rd and 4th string qbs, who were damn near punter level qbs.

Would be an insanely good hire

Not a DC, but supposedly good DL coach and recruiter.

Would be an absolute monster hire
He was the reason Jimbo was able to sign 17 5 star DL in 2022. Kids love him, he was the reason for Reliford and Mckinley being committed there too

The fact that’s he’s been courted as a position coach and not a coordinator maybe
