Elston or Henderson or Davis.

truly first world problems.

Now stack those up against Jimmy Lindsey.

Why didn't kelly get someone of their caliberwhen he hired Lindsey.

People have said house wanted Jamar Cain gone. I believe it was house who wanted Lindsey but I could be wrong.

I get the timing was bad.

So you either keep Cain for another year or get someone better than Lindsey.

Could've pulled a young up and Comer from a smaller school.

Cain had left for Vikings. There was no holding onto him. Lindsey was a good get at the time, not his fault health issues happened right before fall camp. There is no young up and comer that would have left less than a month before season starts. Add contract details and actually identifying one, it was not gonna work. There’s no way you can manage that close to season start. Was just an unfortunate timing issue… what could have been done was hire Jenkins or an analyst earlier.

Edit: He left for Broncos. Got mixed up with Daronte Jones, who is at the Vikings lol

I could see Elston and/or Minter being the choices with them having coached under BK previously which gets me excited. Elston has worked with BK longer than Denbroxk has which is crazy.

Henderson worked with Frank and is from NOLA.

Bo Davis would obviously be an upgrade.

I’m sold on all of it. The Elston/Minter BK ties are the most glaring possibilities to me. Not to mention Minter’s dad was the HC at Cincy just a couple of years prior to BK getting there. He is currently an analyst/coach at ND and has bounced around the SEC and the south over his career. Very interesting, all of it.

Yes , his health clearly affected his ability to coach, but no, he was not a good get. He was a mediocre DL coach with very few skins on the wall. It was a bad hire but nothing against Lindsay. He is rated poorly by most people that do this for a living.

The timing sucked but Cain went to the Broncos after getting pushed out by House. This is all but confirmed. You realize that they get paid less as position coaches in the NFL, right?

Why would Minter and Elston make lateral moves to LSU?

Lateral move? Lolololololol

One team has won national championships in the last 30 years, the other is Michigan.

Both if them have coached in the Midwest and up north for most of their careers.

Michigan is comparable if you are from that part of the country. They are one of the top 2 schools I. The big ten.

Not everyone's dream is to come to lsu.

Do you understand what this means?

They would be in the exact same jobs in one of the 2 main Power conferences.

In fact, I think Elston is also Recruiting Coordinator so he would be moving down.

I understand that as they currently stand, LSU is a better program in a far better conference. These are just facts. That makes LSU a BETTER job. Now I ask you, do You understand what a lateral move is?

Michigan is #1 and in the Playoffs. LSU has lost 3 games and hasn't made the playoffs this decade

Michigan is a traditionally high end program in one of what are considered the two most powerful conferences.

The two programs pay somewhat similarly

They are the same job in similar programs and situations. Its the very definition of lateral.

He's not going from Rutgers to LSU. Its Michigan.

If your job title goes up or you get a large pay raise, it ceases being lateral

I’m not comparing peoples “dream school”. I don’t give a frick about that or how each college is viewed in their region. That is irrelevant. We are strictly talking about football programs here and as they currently stand, LSU is the better program in a better conference. Michigan is a fine school. I’m not downing it and it’s a good program but LSU has had more success in football recently by far. That makes it a better program as they stand today. I’m not saying it’s a huge jump to go to lsu from Michigan but they are NOT “lateral” as they stand today. That’s just a fact.

Irrelevant.

Oklahoma was in the playoffs how many times? And how many championships did they get out of it?

Until you win it, you ain’t it and LSU has 3 since Michigan has even come close to one. That’s just a fact. LSU is the better program today. No, it’s not a drastic difference like going from Troy to LSU, but it is a difference. LSU is also in the premier conference (sorry not sorry but it’s true).

Saying LSU missed the playoffs for the 3rd straight year just doesn’t pack the same punch as “in this decade” does it?

Factor in that Elston has basically worked under BK his entire career outside the last 2 seasons and I’m sure a pay raise to also entice him. But by all means continue to dick ride working for Harbaugh for his only season.

Question: are you the leader of the Fun Bunch? Quite the crew if so.
