It makes total sense if you accept the fact that LSU wanted Jimbo and Jimbo t LSU is done.

Do you truly believe this is a done deal?

Yes, I do.

I think it's been in the works for months.

I agree, just look at how he danced around that question. If I was an FSU fan, and heard my coach say; "I love this place" "I PLAN* to stay here" I would know deep down he's gone.

Ive actually heard that Herman is more possible than Fisher. Fisher is asking for too much.

Is it possible we all get shocked by a hire out of left field? Sure. Coaching searches can be crazy things where the unexpected happens.

I think LSU decided last November that Jimbo would follow Les Miles... It didn't happen in 2015 but an understanding was reached that it was definitely happening at the first opportunity, which came this year in 2016. They may very well still be ironing out the finer details (buyout, assistants, house, etc), but I feel very confident that LSU and Jimbo have already agreed in principal for him to become LSUs next coach, and that agreement was reached months ago.

It isn't that there could be a bidding war, it's that Texas is reportedly Herman's dream job.

This thread is fricking stupid.

This and the fact that nobody outbids UT if they want the guy.

Herman is now a pipe-dream.

Oregon (Nike) could probably take them in a bidding war

I think it's all but done, but I wish we went after Herman. I want a coach with no ties to university.

I want the outsider...Herman. Keep the good ole boys out of it. Jimbo would be an awesome get too tho.

I think alleva will surprise us with success here

I don't know if it's wishful thinking, but I think he surprises everyone.
