Safe to say Kiffin’s brother will slot in as LB coach, no?

I think they are waiting to see what happens with Baker.

It scares me that James cregg was an analyst on kiffin's old miss staff. It almost feels like he is just going to hire him at lsu

Cregg and Kiffin go way back.

He was at Oakland with Kiffin as the assistant OL coach, then went to Tennessee with him as the OL coach, and then on to USC.

Don't read into it. I assume Tulane will name a coach tomorrow. We will know then.

Baker goes, Tulane probably can't afford any of the other defensive assistants, however I wonder if that changes if LSU and the new DC chooses not to retain them. I assume the buyout would protect some of the contract difference.

Tulane would be wise not to hire baker. He will be 1 and done.

Most worried about O Line and Special Teams since they were so bad.

I hear Sam Pittman may be looking for work. He couldn't make the Hogs relevant but he can certainly coach up an O Line.

You can only have 11 designated off campus recruiters.

They can be whatever staff members you designate.

How many assistants can you have? I know Charlie Weiss also coached QBs.

I believe you can have as many as you want (school is willing to bankroll) but only 11 can recruit off campus.

There is no longer a cap. You can have as many on field coaches as you want I believe. You just have to designate 10 for off campus recruiting. And then the 11th off field recruiter is the head coach.

I don’t think they can directly contact recruits but can help look at tape and scout unofficially and stuff like that

Might as well go ahead and put Corey Raymond back in a Corners Coach. Haven Finney doesn't sign today without assurance where CR is going to be coaching.

Offensive line coach Eric Wolford is being hired in the same role at LSU, according to Matt Mascona and Football Scoop. Wolford finishes his second stint with the Wildcats; first in 2021 and then again from 2024-2025. During that time, he worked under offensive coordinators Bush Hamdan and Liam Coen. In between those trips, he spent two years under Nick Saban at Alabama.

He joins Lane Kiffin's first staff at LSU.
