All we have to do is make homerun hires at oc and dc every 2 years for the next 10 years to almost beat good teams.

I agree..If it was going to be Herman I feel something credible would have already leaked. Now ESPN just mentioned the press conference.

I literally do not understand how you could possibly come to this decision.
The problem with Les Miles was that he was a great recruiter but wasn't good at a whole lot else. That's exactly what O is.... the guy has never been a coordinator... I literally can't wrap my head around this. We could retain Aranda and get the best OC available and I still wouldn't be OK with this...

It is at least plausible that Texas talked to Herman early this morning in order to get his decision before talking to Steong. IF that happened, Herman could have picked LSU after that meeting. Again, I doubt this seriously, but it's something to hang a hope on.
