re: LSU announcing new coach at noon; reports say Orgeron

He likely has improved significantly since his ole piss days bit that takes him from awful to average. He's not gonna put as back in the 90s but he's not what we need.

Excerpt from transcript of meeting:

Alleva: Make your case Coach O....

Coach O: first few word are inaudible/incoherent... Large binder hits the desk..

Alleva: (muffled) How will you improve the offense?

Coach O: I plan on bringing in Lane Kiffen to simultaneous strengthen our program and weaken our enemy...

I also planning on learning from my prior mistakes as a head coach by playing to my strengths (recruiting and DL).

I will work for less than other marquee names, allowing me to pay very high dollar for assistants / coordinators.

Alleva: (garbled) Any closing statement?

Coach O: I would love to coach the Tigers with passion. However, I would be more than happy to reunite with Coach Kiffen in Tusculoosa to implement the same plan (distributed power) I have outlined for you here today. My plan will work, but it is novel. I will leave it you to decide whether this takes place here in Baton Rouge or in Tuscaloosa.

Meeting concludes. O lifts his scrotum off of Alleva's face...

I feel really bad for the LSU fans. What an awful hire. A premier college football program and you hire Ed fricking Orgeron.

Could've been worse like a Fedora. I take this as all the coaches told LSU thanks but no thanks. Maybe we're not as good as we thought we were in coaches eyes and maybe a lot turned us down for the way we treated Miles firing like we did. Maybe they didn't want to be at this dumpster fire? That's entirely possible and I knew this administration would frick this up after what happened last year. Good news is we'll be average but at least Alleva will almost surely get fired when we consistently put up 3-4 loss seasons. Another guy LSU fans absolutely love but is not a great HC at all. I guess that's all that matters in some eyes. They let the love of his personality blind them at how good of a coach he actually is. Failed at Ole Miss and an average interim HC. He'll maintain what we have which is an average team and keep us loaded down with talent as well as keep our recruiting class together.

Terrible hire. Should've sacrificed him for a better coach. 2 months for a career position coach who was a failure at his last stop. Did anyone here have optimism Alleva would make a great hire? Has he made a single hire here at LSU that has been extremely successful to the athletic program?

I don't understand why they will announce the new coach if it's Orgeron. I mean, he was your interim most of the year. Just say its Coach O with a official press conference at 12.


My only idea of LSU doing it this method is to put pressure on Herman or Jimbo to make a decision.

Jesus Christ LSU. 3 month head start and you hire fricking Ed Orgeron. A failed coach who wasn't good enough for Ole Miss. A failed coach who literally nobody else wanted to hire. Give me a fricking break.
