Doesn't mean agents & "headhunters" haven't contacted him. Makes me nervous when everybody starts throwing out the: "I have not been contacted by anyone from the University of___________" line.

That's smart of Michigan, since a ton of coaches will be in Dallas at some point between Sunday and Wednesday for the AFCA conference. Les Miles is one of the featured speakers on Tuesday, along with Bret Bielema. Michigan would be smart to have representatives in Dallas to talk to anyone they want those 4 days.

You are very uninformed on what happened at OK State. Just claim ignorance and move on.

I'm quite informed.
You need to claim ignorance and move on.

On Tuesday, January 11, sandwiched between the Awards Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. and the Coach of the Year Dinner at 7:30 p.m., LSU head coach Les Miles and Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema will be the featured speaker’s during that day’s general session.

With the list of speakers all ready signed up, the 2011 AFCA Convention in Dallas, Texas, is shaping up to be one of the best conventions in recent history. Some of the most successful collegiate coaches in the country will be sharing their ideas on Xs and Os and football philosophy.
The convention kicks off on Sunday, January 9, with two former greats sharing their ideas on offense and defense.

I didn't say they were waiting on Les. If you were looking for a head coach and knew a shite ton of them were gonna be in Dallas over the next 3 days, the smart thing to do would be to go there and start guaging interest.

Yea NOBODY is asking about this

If this were the case, Miles' request to have his contract rewritten would have been granted earlier today.
Glad to see Alleva stand his ground and tell Miles, "No". His contract is fine as is.

Probably a formality. And it allows for plausible deniability.
If that happens, it's a done deal.
