A friend of a friend (who I know is fairly well connected to Nebraska football) told me last weekend that Alberts was considering Joseph for the job

He took over Baylor after the Art Briles rape scandal.
I think Rhule is absolutely what they need. Someone who is a program-builder, not just a flashy recruiter.
Aranda would be good for them too, although he's got a good thing going on at Baylor and seems happy there.

One of Nebraska’s media guys said that Alberts has been told that Baylor is prepared to match any offer Nebraska makes to keep Aranda. Seems like as of now Rhule is their #1 target although there’s a rumor that Alberts is meeting with Kiffin tomorrow - his dad played there and he was born and lived there as a child and still has a lot of family there

Nebraska has been playing better under Joseph it seems, but I think it’s a very risky hire even though the Nebraska job isn’t as good as it once was.

I hope Rhule goes there. He is the only person who has a chance of getting Nebraska close to where it wants to be. I am not a Nebraska fan, but I have a lot of respect for their fans who always show up.

Lane wasn't even two when he moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas...
Lane wants a job like Alabama or another shot at the NFL. Taking the Nebraska job would be a massive risk to those career aspirations.
