This is beginning to sound like the Saban ordeal. Michigan keeps hanging around and offering whatever. LSU did not give him a raise and what else did he want?

Or until Les Miles says he is not going to Michigan and will not accept their phone calls.

Have you ever heard this, "I WILL NOT be the Alabama coach next year"
I can happen. And if it does, so be it. Best of luck to him. It's his dream job, go for it. We will live on.

Right. Like Bob Stoops said about Georgia. Or Urban Meyer said about Notre Dame. Or Pete Carroll said about the Chargers.
No coach in the country has made any clearer indication that they are not interested in any job in the country than Miles indication that he is not interested in the Michigan job.
No amount of evidence would change the opinion of those who still want to claim he is going. That is primarily because "evidence" refers to things in the real world, and those people do not live there.

You can't expect Miles to hold a press conference every time a reporter writes an article suggesting Miles still will be the next UM coach. It would be a bi-weekly event.
He, the players, and the fans need to ignore the irresponsible reporting and just deal with reality and not hypotheticals.
I really feel for Les. He must be ready to choke a bitch.

What needs to be straightened out? Skip is already saying no way. Does Skip tell Miles he can't coach the MNC if he doesn't say something?

I think he is coming to Michigan.

why do you think he is going to Michigan?

He has. You people are just frightened because of what Saban did last year.

Would you not accept a phone call from let's say, a friend or a former colleague just because he or she is from Michigan?

Oh but dear god, Saban did it!!
:omg:

It turns out the Saban poisened the well for all college coaches last year. It is now the "saban precedent." A coach's assurances about a job can never be accepted as true after the saban precedent. In response, people can always say "remember what saban did at Miami to Ala." In fact, without the "saban precedent" I doubt we would be having this problem.

Please, don't hurt yourself.
belowpar: Thank you for the sanity check on this board. I don't know who you are but I have followed (in the short time since I decided to register) what you have reported on this board infested with paranoia, conspiracy and wild speculation -- most of what you have stated has turned out to be accurate. Don't let the crazies stop you from giving it straight, bro!

I'm assuming you are meaning that he hasn't said that he ISN'T going to Michigan. Yes, he has. Even after the SECCG game he has said that he will be the coach at LSU next season. The reports that I've reading on recruits has said that Miles has told them flat out that he will be the coach at LSU. I don't know what the hell else he can give you people.

Didn't say I knew that. Nor do I care. I'm not in the least bit concerned about him going anywhere. I think this is a bullshite story. I know you don't like the guy as a person, but it seems to me that he is the type of person that doesn't want to be in the certain category as an Alabama coach we all know and love. A liar.
Saban now has a reputation as a liar and someone who is willing to walk away from a job willingly and nonchalantly. For that, I do believe that he has burnt many possible bridges that he probably didn't even know was there. He's forever tarnished.
I don't think Miles would do that.

I don't know what yet...but...
Keep an eye out for something coming from LSU in the near future a day or two probably, that straightens this situation out.
Coach Miles will be a Tiger next year...
I HATE REPORTERS
Something needs to be done and soon. This is the last thing the players need before the biggest game of their lives. They had to stand by and listen to all of the rumors before the SECCG and now it's starting again. We don't need this kind of shite distracting the guys.

If the statement was issued, then as I told you earlier...He is staying.
