I’d add Barry Odom as a DC candidate

Wondering this myself. Why are people assuming that Rees isn't coming?
He’s a ND alum and legacy
His dad works there.
He probably never wants to leave

Leonhard would be a home run if we could get him away from Wis. Show him the money

Briles or Herman would be solid choices for OC, IMHO….
As for DC….I’d rather keep Jones than do Bama a favor and take Golding off their hands. He’s seems to be a pariah over there…..

Manny Diaz, Miami.
Didnt this guy get fired from Texas in the middle of the season for allowing 500 yards rushing to BYU?

Phil Longo
Do you have any clue what he squandered at Ole Miss? DK, AJ Brown, and others never even won 6 games. Absolutely horrible choice.

Kelly is essentially his own OC, so I don’t see him hiring an “independent” OC noted for their own offense.
I would assume BK would hire an understudy-type like Rees to run his offense.
Now the DC hire will be interesting.

Elko did not want to work for Brian Kelly, that was a big reason why he left ND to come to A&M. And he’s likely getting a HC position sooner than later.
He’s not going to start over again anywhere.
