Fickell
Aranda
Napier
Freeze
I don’t see any other realistic hire being worth firing O.

As an Ole Miss fan, steer clear of Freeze. The man was responsible for the damage done to the Rebel program, yet threw his coaches under the bus, letting them take the fall while he walked away unscathed. A lot of Rebel fans still love him & want him back because of the Sugar Bowl win. Yes, that was fun, but they seem to forget the embarrassing Peach Bowl whipping, the losses in games after being ahead by 20+ points, & the 5 win season his final year, even with all the talent we had. I don’t believe for a second that he didn’t know what was going on. His personal issues were embarrassing, but his lack of taking responsibility for the actions that led to the NCAA investigation & his lack of humility & not apologizing to the players & fan base were far worse. I wouldn’t wish him on anyone! He isn’t what he claims to be.

I like Dabo, too, and agree that Bama will be his next stop.

Will Scott Woodward make Dabo tell him NO?

Luke Fickell (HC at Cincinnati) - they say he doesn't want to leave Ohio, but $ talks
Dave Aranda (HC at Baylor) - definite possibility
Billy Napier (HC at ULL) -another favorite
Kendall Briles (OC at Arkansas) - don't see this happening, no HC experience
Jamey Chadwell (HC at Coastal Carolina) - crazy offense doesn't fit
Mark Stoops (HC at Kentucky) - questionable hire, took a long time to get KY "up"
Matt Campbell (HC at Iowa State) - interesting choice, could happen
Mel Tucker (HC at Michigan State) - unproven commodity, "woke" hire at best
Brian Kelly (HC at Notre Dame) - why would he leave ND for LSU?
Bill O'Brien (OC at Alabama) - if you want to go the Bama coordinator route, he's your guy
I see Aranda and Napier as the favorites.
Others to watch: Joe Brady, Matt Campbell, Chris Petersen, Luke Fickell
Long shots: Hugh Freeze, Lane Kiffin, Lincoln Riley

What else do they need to see out of Fickell?
One loss in the last 3 years (by 3 to Georgia
Dont disagree with any thing you said about Fickell, however, Memphis beat a Fickell led team twice (back to back, last regular season game then aac champ game) in 2019. So one loss in last 2 years (2020 amd 2021).

Also he will bring the DC that we wanted REALLY REALLY BAD but wanted no part of O

Why not put Saban in a category called “Miracles Happen”?

Come on man really?? What has he done to deserve a top 5 coaching job? They will probably lose 4 of the 5 games they have remaining on their schedule..

You’re talking to a fan base that is legit excited about Dave Aranda as HC but also turns it’s nose up at guys like Napier
ETA: You make the Franklins and Dabo’s of the world say no (they will) and then hire Luke Fickell

The people screaming for Napier dont watch much football outside of Louisiana.
Chadwell with CC would be a much better G5 hire than Napier.
But Woodward is only going to hire a proven P5 guy so it doesnt matter.
