Will the Liberty vs ULL game next month determine the next LSU HC? Freeze vs Napier?

No but it’ll be entertaining as all hell

If so then it should determine AD position

What an asinine, baseless and unsupportable statement. Please explain the prior P5 head coaching experience of Day, Smart, Swinney and Riley prior to their current jobs and why LSU is so much better than OSU, UGA, Clemson and OU that we should eschew the best rising stars?

I think he's just saying deciding the coach off of one sun belt game would be insanely stupid.

A lot of teams are losing games they shouldn’t lose this year. Liberty had a bad night. Quarterback made bad decisions and the winning field goal BARELY cleared the crossbar.
I got tickets for Nov 6 when Hugh Freeze rolls back into Oxford with Liberty; I figure it will be more entertaining than watching LSU vs Alabama.

quote:Day and Riley were their previous HC's right hand men and were groomed for the job. There was no coaching search at OSU or OU.

Smart was DC for the best defensive mind in CFB history and won multiple NCs as a coordinator, plus was an alum. The search there was basically a rubber-stamp.
Swinney was pure luck on Clemson's part. Bowden resigned under pressure and they turned to Dabo as a popular position coach who would keep the team together while Clemson contemplated their options. There was nothing in his resume to indicate he was a 'rising star' at the time.
Not one of these scenarios is anywhere comparable to the current situation with LSU.

ULM beat Liberty as a 30+ point underdog. I'm not impressed and any victory over Liberty by ULL should hold no weight/bearing in the impressiveness of Napiers resume.

Liberty will be losing that game..

Not a lot of impressiveness on Napiers resume this year. Don't understand the infatuation with him.

Hugh Freeze should be selling miracle water, sowing your seed and divine transfers on infomercials. Authenticity should play a role esp when it involves convincing families to send their sons off to your school

I don't get people like you.
The man made a mistake, owned it, and has apologized profusely. He knows there will always be people like you that will forever hate on him for his mistakes. He has to move forward with his life though. He recognizes he made a mistake that almost cost him his entire coaching career. I believe Freeze is actually a safer hire, because of it.
People, including people of faith, make mistakes. All the more reason they feel they need Christ. By all means though hate on someone and consider them a fake christian though.
Believe it or not Freeze does not shove his beliefs down anyone's throat. He does not require anyone to believe the same beliefs to come play for him, even though he is at a christian school. He just wants them to know he lives his life a certain way.
The one thing I like about Hugh Freeze is anytime he is asked about a particular player he starts out by saying how wonderful of a person they are. I think that shows he is building sincere relationships and will go a long way with his reputation in the future.
He actually believes this. He is very much about being accountable. He believes being transparent and honest will actually relate with the families of the recruits. I think he may have a point.
I want Freeze at LSU, because I believe he would absolutely crush it here. He is an incredible coach, especially right away. He found out Liberty had never made a bowl game before and he made that happen. He wanted the players to experience that so bad. I can only imagine what he could at an LSU with this type of talent. People now trying to dismiss him, because he lost to ULM. Well ULM has won like 3 or 4 game snow and he still coaches at freaking Liberty.
However, there is a part of me that doesn't want Freeze at LSU, because of people like you. There will be a crowd of people like you that will always hate on the man, because he made a mistake and he is a believer. So it's all good. I hope he can get a bigger job somewhere soon and he does well. I actually root for people who mess up and try to better themselves.

Then Terry Bowden should be in the conversation.

By "lives his life a certain way", do you mean he talks about doing the the right thing, then does the opposite?
