I'm not high oh Schuman b/c he's the last guy from that super era and has been passed over for years. Lanning was clearly the talent of that co-DC staff.

I'm very intrigued what he does, generally. I don't necessarily want him running the offense but being involved and promoting young OC talent. Dude is elite at what he does (which works with our WR history/rep) and has worked under some great coaches.

I think he's going to be a big deal but I just don't know where/when that will be. It may be too early and the culture difference may be too much (like with BK)

Needs a LOT more time to prove himself, IMHO.

I like Dill but Az St is home to him. People will also mention Pry but same for him at GT.

All the good candidates other than LK are alumni candidates

I want nothing to do with Clark Lea, though.

Can Schumann recruit like Lanning?

Going defense in this era feels risky

Everyone does, but can they field a competent team? Cause this one isn’t.

Man I think you are totally wrong on Lane. He’s learned a lot. He’d kill it here. He’s hit a ceiling at OM.

I didn’t want Lane last go round but where we’re at with NIL and his offense he’s probably the best you can go for.

I think Schumann is more scheme than rah rah like Lanning

I remember reading how when he was a 19 year old GA at Alabama, it would be him, Smart, and Saban in the defensive gameplan room

I like Kiffin a lot, Will Stein, OC from Oregon is intriguing but idk if he’s ready yet.

I think Golesh would be a great hire, his teams are physical and they’ve done a good job developing that QB.

I don't know what indicates he'd be that much better here.

In the old era? Yes. Now? I'm not so sure. Last year was THE year and they went all in. Look what happened.

His son just started high school. He’s not going anywhere. He’s already a legend in Oxford
