I guess it's a good thing.

It's a bad thing... how focused is he going to be on a gameplan and how focused is he going to be on recruiting and Nebraska? I'll give you a hint... not 100% on either.

The only good thing I can see is that the players love him and will be jacked to play and send im out on a winning note.

Pelini should be able to help plan, didn't he go to OSU?

Actually this is Pelini's bread and butter. Big 10 football. I do not like his style but it fits this type football

i think in the end, if pelini and nebraska are cool with it .. it's prolly better than the alternative ... didn't osborne "name" himself "interim" head coach last week and say that he was temporarily in charge of recruiting ? i felt at the time that this reeked of pelini getting the job and osborne preparing in the outside event that lsu goes to the NC game ... you don't want someone that is not accustomed to calling defensive signals doing it in not only what is THE biggest game of the year, but one of THE biggest games in LSU history ..

Well, the alternative is probably letting Peveto coach the D and he is maybe the worst coach in NCAA history.

Joe Cullen is an awesome screamer though and he passes out in Subways. Peveto is just bald and shitty.

Cullen took a line with Jarvis Green and Booger McFarland and turned it into one that had the lowest number of sack totals ever.

Pevetos LB's haven't done that badly.

exactly why i wouldn't be concerned with Bo calling the plays ... holtz says he should be gone because he "doesn't have to live with the results" ... but -- and i don't have pelini's resume in front of me -- i don't think his fingers are exactly dripping with NC rings ...

I mean guys, from Dec 17 to the bowl, Pelini will probably be working on a game plan. Its a recruiting dead period, so if he has his staff in place, there won't be much else to do anyway.

whenever we have coaches coaching us in bowl games that are goign somewhere else we pay dearly for it.

Obviously, it's Les's call. Doesn't seem like a particularly good idea to me. Surprised NU okayed it, too.

In his defense, it was tough for him to get Booger to play hard since he was already in Tampa Bay the season Cullen was here.
