Leach would be a great hire IMO. Why do you people think he cannot adapt? He did actually run the ball when he coached at TT. He turned that program around and had TTech in the top 10 several weeks with 1 year even in the hunt for a national championship. That's like seeing Kentucky in the top 10. Bring em on board

I can't see their offensive philosophies meshing too well
It would be an absolute train wreck.

He would be a perfect match for Miles two mad hatters.

Completely different offensive philosophy.
How would that be a great hire?

Miles would be telling Leach to run a dive play on first down at your own 20. why waste that guy's time.....

Because les doesnt need his hand in the offense at all and let coaches coach.

LSU won't get a high profile OC simply because a high profile OC will demand that Les not be involved in the offense after seeing the Les VS Crowton failure to find an offensive identity. Les will surely higher someone willing to do whatever he tells him to do.

That may be true, but it's not a reality. We all know that.

Do we, honestly? I still have no idea who is calling what. All the info on here has been ambiguous that I have seen.

Read the latest Gary crowton interview and it gives it away IMO.

I guess an interesting question would be: how many more points a game do you think we would score with Leach this year(and next year) than we did with Crowton?
With an average offense, this team could be organizing a championship parade right now.

I agree, I believe our offense would explode, Id grab that guy quickly. LSU football would be fun again, and a BCSC likely

It could work I guess?
Has already worked in the SEC before, that has already been proven.

one of the better schools in the country.. you go there you are hooked up for life, they take care of their own like few schools do

call me crazy but this line of thinking does not make sense. aside from a mobile QB what type of athletes does a spread offense have that a pro-style offense doesn't?
It's about the utilization of those athletes. Spread offense were originally developed to use shorter, smaller, faster athletes and unorthodoxed QB's recruited by smaller schools to compete with national powers. We're the national power. Why would we want to take our top-notch athletes and run a complex, quirky offense, when we have the goods to run a simpler offense that creates mismatches...especially, with our defense (something most spread teams don't have the luxiory of).
