re: Larry Porter out at Memphis

Memphis is a tough place to win and Porter for some strange reason did not reach out to the fans or the public in general. The team was bad, really bad. They were no fun to watch and no one was going to the games. I think the Admin. wanted to give him more time, but with no butts in the seats he was a short timer.

If you are going to lose, at least be creative, interesting, fun to watch. Memphis was bad and boring. Porter seems like a nice guy, sorry it did not work out.

Heard that the Administration was unhappy with him from some Memphis profs. They did not jive, for some reason. Some coaches are not meant to be HCs. Sounds like the case with Porter.
