If some don't want Jimbo because he has no defense and UTa is thinking of canning Strong because he has no defense, why would we want Fedora?

No he is not.

Fedora's resume at UNC is very similar to Saban's resume at Michigan State. Saban has four middling seasons at Michigan State before having the breakthrough year in his fifth season. Fedora had three average seasons at UNC before having the great season last year. Fedora could be one of those coaches like Saban who just takes off when he's given resources at a bigger program.

you make him keep aranda like we made miles keep jimbo AND made miles go hire a new DC which was a great one named Pellini. Miles wanted to bring his DC bill clay from okie lite. we said NO! F NO!

So we want to hire ANOTHER coach we have to tell who to hire??? Just read that statement! I want a coach that KNOWS what it takes to develop/build a championship team and moves to that.

Fedora/Gundy/Briles types will entertain you with points, but very doubtful they can win a championship as the HC.

Youre wrong.

Do you guys not take in consideration what type of resources they'll have at LSU. Then consider how much improvement there's been since he's gotten to UNC.

But because most of you know nothing about the guy, you immediately say no. It's ridiculous

certainly we are not considering Petrino. The closer you look at Fedora the more you are going to like him as a solid candidate for the position. Herman is clearly the choice but coaches like Fedora, Fisher, Klieman, and Mullen all have be considered and looked at as a fallback plan.

It's Oct. 2. I think there will be more names popping up in the next two months

What does that mean? Why would a good coach/candidate just pop up in the next two months?

Depending on how the rest of the season plays out I'd probably lean more to Coach O than the "second tier" or "Plan B".

Are you a fricking retard or something? Orgeron has shown that he is a HORRIBLE HC. 17-27 overall and 3-21 in conference. He's supposed to be this badass recruiter and his teams got WORSE every year.

because there are a lot more good candidates out there than the same names we keep recirculating on this board. As time goes on we are going to start hearing more about some of these guys. Names are going to pop up. People are going to learn more about them and watch them and realize that they are coaches to keep an eye on.

Well that would be pretty dumb if we didn't even consider him. The guy can flat out coach.

I hope so. My list has been Herman, Jimbo, & Fedora. He'd only improve here, just like Nick and Les.

7-6
8-5
12-2

North Carolina
8-4
7-6
6-7
11-3

Nick Saban
Michigan State
6-5
6-6
7-5

9-2

Les Miles
Oklahoma State
4-7
8-5
9-4
7-5
