Lane Kiffin is a rich man’s Gerry Dinardo

Will bring a big influx of enthusiasm and will stabilize the program immediately but long term probably doesn’t have the chops to run an LSU level program for 10+ years.

He leaves everywhere after 2-3 years with some scandal and the maturity of a 13 year old boy. No thanks.

He’s an offensive guru but he’s a clown. I get that him and his Twitter shtick work at Ole Miss and that’s why that job is perfect for him. Nobody expects them to compete for championships every year.
I don’t buy that he’s “matured”.. and his new analytics kick with basically refusing to punt is odd. He’s like a caricature of a real head coach.

Need a moratorium on hires from Ole Miss.
You don't pay off one dumbshit, to hire his dumbshit protege.

Has Lane ever hired a DC worth a crap?
Posted on 10/27/21 at 9:11 pm to OchoDedos
He is a 55% winning percentage coach. Not sure we could do more mediocre. Just do not see the infatuation. I guess you guys just soak up all the Saban fodder you can get.

You're absurdly crazy.
The coach who should become the next head football coach of LSU is a no brainer. It's Lane Kiffin.
In fact, if Woodward makes the idiotic mistake of letting Lane Kiffin remain at Ole Miss, it won't be long at all before Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss will not only be beating LSU on the recruiting trail, but also on the football field every year.
Hence, Woodward better steal Lane Kiffin away from Ole Miss to make him the new head football coach of LSU. If Woodward doesn't steal Lane Kiffin away from Ole Miss, then it means that Woodward is terribly incompetent.
Sure Lane Kiffin has some skeletons in his closet, but so does all the other candidates as well. Lane Kiffin's skeletons are just more publicized because they happened on a bigger stage.
Nonetheless, there isn't a better coach in America to coach up Garrett Nussmeier and Walker Howard. As Lane Kiffin either has the best offensive mind in college football or if not, he is at least in the top-three that's for sure.
I mean, if Lane Kiffin isn't hired, LSU fans 30 years from now will be looking back and saying, "you know, LSU had the perfect opportunity to hire Lane Kiffin, but made the stupid mistake of hiring someone else? I mean, how stupid could the administration at LSU have been back then?"
Not to mention that Lane Kiffin is on Ed Orgeron's level on the recruiting trail.

Where do you losers come up with this garbage?
You couldn't expect Kiffin to stay at Tennessee and pass up an opportunity to coach at USC because Tennessee's football program is crap. Not to mention that USC was where Kiffin cut his teeth.
Kiffin would have stayed at USC forever had he had not screwed it up.
No one expected Kiffin to be at Alabama for as long as he was.
Meanwhile, everyone knew except for you, very apparently, that the Florida Atlantic job was just a stepping stone job for his next bigger job.
It's the same thing at Ole Miss, it's another stepping stone for Kiffin's next bigger job.
At LSU, on the other hand, Kiffin will have reached his pinnacle and he will never leave LSU because there is no more of an elite college football program for Kiffin to leave for.
Kiffin isn't leaving LSU to go to Alabama. As Alabama doesn't want anything to do with Kiffin.
While UGA is not on the same level with LSU having won only one natty since 1980.
If Woodward steals Kiffin from Ole Miss, as he should, Kiffin will be the LSU head coach for many years to come.

Everyone, including the other coaching candidates have skeletons in their closet. Lane Kiffin's have been more publicized because they happened on a bigger stage that's all.
Moreover, unless you are a prude who doesn't like Lane Kiffin's kind of humor, there is nothing whatsoever wrong with Lane Kiffin's persona on Twitter.
If Woodward permits Kiffin to remain at Ole Miss, it won't be long at all before Kiffin and Ole Miss will not only be beating LSU on the recruiting trail, but also on the football field every freaking year.
As stealing Lane Kiffin away from Ole Miss to be the new head football coach at Louisiana State is a no brainer. That is if you have a brain at all, which at this point, looks like you do not.

When was the last time you glanced at Campbell's piss poor recruiting rankings?

I don't know, but D J Durkins defense with a lot less talent relative to LSU this last Saturday looked a hell of a lot better than Daronte Jone's defense. Or is it you didn't watch the game last Saturday?

We don’t “come up with” anything. It’s literally what Lane Kiffin does and he’s done it for a long time now. Look, you love kiffy. We don’t. He isn’t a championship coach. He’s never won anything despite entirely too many chances at bigger programs.
Let’s move on.
Let’s move on.

You're the one stumping for Lane fricking Kiffin (with shoddy selling points) and I'm the one without a brain. Okay, pal.
I'm far from a prude - I just think it's dumb that a P5 head coach spends so much of his time on Twitter. And there is no scenario where Ole Miss beats LSU "on the football field every freaking year."
Also, you're an idiot. You and your newly created account can kick rocks.

oh yea...based on what? his great classes at OM? the one thats currently #27? the one last year that finished in the teens and #6 in conference? or the 2020 that was #12 in the conference?
or was it fau where he was only able to sign 1 four star kid ever? hell one year out of the 3 at fau he finished 3rd in conf usa in recruiting.
and what the hell makes you think that he can put together back to back successful seasons?
at UT- barely above 500 his one year
usc-
year 1- mediocre to bad
year 2- great
year 3- bad(lost last 4 conference games)
year 4- bad and fired after opening conf with 2 losses (6 in a row overall)
FAU-
year 1- great
year 2- bad- losing season
year 3- great
OM-
year 1- bad- 500
year 2- great
year 3- without Corral
he is an OC pretending to be a HC. he doesnt pay attention to the details when it comes to anything but offense.
again i am fine with Lane and he would be fun, but lets not make him out to be anything more than he is and his record shows he is exactly who we always thought he was, an immature amazing OC.

Wow. Shut down the Jake Peetz running game. Outstanding. NFL coordinator spot incoming.

Dj durkin is a good DC. They aren’t going to dominant over night. They need to get the depth. Do people not realize how bad ole miss was before kiffin got there.
