There are alot of jobs expected to open by the end of the season so even if LSU passes on Kiffin he will probably get looked at by others.

Lets look at his history:

USC Assistant - 2001-2006- He eventually worked his way up to OC under Pete Carroll. USC was a power at this time and famously had the attention of Hollywood. Celebrities were often seen at games and even practices. Of course pretty girls were everywhere. He also became good friends with Orgeron and Sarkisian at this time.

Raiders - 2007-2008. Hired at age 31, youngest head coach in modern NFL history. Fired by Al Davis. His record was 5-15. Davis called Kiffin "a flat-out liar" and said he was guilty of "bringing disgrace to the organization".

Tennessee- Kiffin led the Vols to a 7–6 record in 2009. He left abruptly after one season to coach USC. Vol fans carry the grudge against him to this day (see recent Mustard Gate.)

USC - 2010-2013- He was 28-15 as USC head coach. Pat Haden famously fired him at the airport after a 62–41 loss to Arizona State.

Bama OC - 2014-2016 - Kiffen did well under Saban as the OC. But rumors persisted about his behavior on campus, including going by the alter ego "Joey Freshwater" and hitting on coeds at various Tuscaloosa bars.

Florida Atlantic - 2017-2019 - He did well as the HC here with a 26-13 overall record. But it was clear to everyone this was just a brief layover until he could get back to a big job.

Ole Miss - 2020-2021- He was a mediocre 5-5 in 2020 but is currently 6-2 so far in 2021.

The thing about him is he always seems to be on the cusp of doing something great. But then he gets distracted and spirals down.

Is he finally mature enough to take a team to the playoffs and live up to his potential?

Or will he get a young 18 year old girl pregnant and then be chased with pitchforks as he flees town?

Either could realistically happen and that is why big programs are hesitant to trust this guy.

How many of those jobs did he leave on good terms?

Hard pass. The only thing i'd like about it would be kicking Ole Miss in the nuts.

If you’ve been paying attention this season it’s obvious that he absolutely is not

Lane is one of the best in being able to put together offensive game plans that get playmakers the ball in space.

However, he lacks maturity, judgement and discipline to be a top notch head coach. I think that will not change, even though the years pass and he gets older.

I like him as an OC. I don't think he gets the nod for LSU HC because I don't think Woodward wants to spend the next 3-5 years afraid to look at his phone and the tune "Flirtin with Disaster" playing in his head 24/7. . .

Kiffin is a douche bag and is no where NEAR worth the amount Woodward is about to pay someone.

With the rumors going around as to how much he’s willing to pay, sure sounds like that amount is accomplishing two things. Paying a VERY well respected coach and pulling him out of retirement and the PNW.
