Bob Stoops is still a good head coach, IMO. His problem is that he's now surrounded himself with buddies instead of coaches and is starting to run the program like a country club (kind of like what happened at the end with Tubbs at Auburn).
Chip Kelly, Brett Bielema, Richt, Fulmer, and Mike Gundy have all been pretty successful coaches at BCS schools without prior experience.

If there was ever an assistant that is more likely to be a success, I havent seen him.

So Bama could be seeing both its coordinators sign on for other jobs on the eve of huge huge game? Great. A staff shakeup like this should help our chances against LSU immensely

They would probably wait till after the game to announce it, but then again you never know, those schools might want them to start recruiting right away. A month in recruiting during these last several months is very important for a D1 school

Losing a D-Coordinator is going to cause issues but not when
1. Your coach is the mind behind the D and
2. The bowl is after 5 weeks.

Suprised at Bama fans who doubt Kirby. OC/DC from top schools like Bama take BCS jobs every year. He is ready to be an HC and would be a good fit at Texas A&M. Good for him.

Kirby would do a good job for you guys and bring the toughness you need to play in the SEC.

According to many Bammers, it won't matter--they are the superior team & $aban is the god of coaching.

Nick is fixing to head out. The assistants are all getting jobs.

They know next year is going to be tough. Now is the time to strike.

Probably because some of the assurances Nick has given to (BIG LEAGUE FOOTBALL SCHOOL IN AUSTIN) is that he will endeavor to retain as many of the assistant coaches as possible for 1 year due to contracts and recruiting continuity.
Didn't bring a single assistant from Michigan State to LSU... just sayin'.

Wait - so Mack Brown actually is resigning?

Yeah. It didn't hurt matters that you were playing a slow arse Big 10 team, though. We're actually playing a really good team in that game. A team that many on this board are happy to argue is the "best college football team of the past 20 years".
