We could not get Pittman eithvout bringing Cochran with him. Horrible OC hire wanted Mike Sanford Jr.

Smart will run Chaney out of UGA after two years tops. I will miss Pittman but dude hasn't done crap recruiting wise outside of bringing two 3 stars he had committed at UT.

Well... It's a hire. UGA fans are trying to convince themselves that it's a good hire because of his connection to Drew Brees. Guess they are ignoring his resume for the past 12 years since Brees went pro.

Pittman is probably the best OL coach in college football right now. Fantastic hire by Smart.
Inversely, UGA fans will learn to hate Chaney pretty quickly. He puts together great game plans, but he's terrible the minute something doesn't go according to plan or when an opposing defense makes adjustments. Also, there are few who are worse than him at second half playcalling. Get ready to score very few points in the 4th quarter.

UGA fans will learn to hate Chaney after they throw the ball 40 times in a game despite having Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, and a new quarterback.

this is a big misnomer. Chaney didn't coach QB's nor was OC when Brees was at Purdue.
He coached OL & TE's.

True. Joe Tiller ran the offense. Chaney was there but wasn't much of a factor...kind of like Paul Petrino as the Hogs' OC.
Pittman is a good hire but I have never understood the infatuation with Chaney. He is not a good OC.
