He may not be the splash hire some wanted but he’s done a great job at Notre dame and is a massive improvement from Orgeron.

He's an okay hire, but we need to know who is he getting as coordinators... With 120 man sent on him, how much can we spend on coordinators!!
Also, he's better than O, sure, but O with a a good DC, OC, and PGC won a championship. Kelly has not done so yet.

His success in the south will depend alot on who he has as assistants. He's always been a midwestern type guy and he is along in age, but he's been a winner everywhere he's been. Might be a new ball game for him though.
