Just Hire A Damn OC Already

This board has loss control with the OC Job. I do believe O got played and needs to move on and stop waiting on a certain somebody. He has some good OCs out there and needs to start offering some.

Amen. Not Kiffin or Sark. I strongly think that Helfrich, Canada, maybe Gilbert (I have concerns) or an NFL guy that is not on our radar that O might have up his sleeve.

Why is it so important to most of you that we hire an OC right away?
A couple things:
1) He likely wouldn't be coaching in the bowl game, anyway.
2) it's more common for coaches to fill staffing positions after the season us over. Our season isn't over.
3) More options my "open up" after the season has ended. Some guys may not want to talk until their own season has ended.
4) O has already stated there was no rush to name an O.C. He never said they aren't searching or who their search consists of. Everything stated has been speculation.
Relax. It'll get done.

I'll speak for myself only here.... I think I have some doubt about all this the longer it drags out because of the inept "search" we just went through when we had 2 and a half months to evaluate candidates and have discussions via back channels. What we came up with was complete and utter shite.

I think Kiffin is a really good OC I don't see him as a make or break hire for LSU. If O identifies a great OC go get him, understand I'm not for rushing this process but would like to see a OC hired at LSU before the bowl game, not after.
