No one is hiring a passing coordinator to do anything

Really? He’s been mentioned as an OC candidate for a few teams early on. Notably Texas.

Give it a day or two and he could be offered the Arkansas job.

The Texas beat writers and bloggers all knew Brady and then Harrell were their first two targets. They are pretty leaky over there, so I have no reason to believe they were all just making that up.

There were early mentions of USCe, but I think they knew they wouldn’t have a shot pretty quickly. Those may have been just rumors.

You can bag on Brady, but every analyst and journalist on every major college football site and podcast out there has Brady as the top OC candidate out there this cycle. This isn’t some big mystery. LSU’s just taken the fun out of it by making sure he isn’t going anywhere.

He’d probably turn the Mizzou job down anyway.

Great to hear that, and I am not trying to throw cold water on it, but that can also be classified as typical coachspeak. But I believe he will be back.

Man I hope so! He has finally tapped into LSU’s potential offensive firepower. Decades of misuse of athletes has been maddening.

The true kudos goes to Coach O though. Finally a man with a huge ego who knows that there are better ways to run things. I doubted the Orgeron hire because he isn’t a great football mind and there were way better coaches available. But he may be the very best CEO of an elite program in the country.

As much as Saban has changed the way the elite programs are run with shadow staffs and exiled HC as analyst, Coach O has done with demanding top tier pay for elite coordinators. Then giving them the freedom to run what they feel best fits the personnel.

It’s been awesome to watch and I’m not even a casual Tiger fan.

Edit: I’d jump at the chance to have him as the HC of the Cajuns after next year when Napier moves on. If not sooner.

But Burrow will not be. He needs to cash in this year with LSU or someone else before he loses the best QB he likely will ever have

He’s about to. He will be getting a huge raise.

We will find out what he’s really made of in 2020. Brennan has a big arm and is mobile, but he wasn’t up to being a starting QB two seasons ago when Canada tried to push him. Can Brady refine the passing offense to fit his strengths and hide any weaknesses? Based on what I’ve seen this year, I have confidence, but we won’t know until we see it on the field.

It won’t hurt that most of the WR corps and RBs will be back. And most of the O Line. Brennan is set up for a good transition if he’s up to the task.

You can't coach what Burrow has. Brennan will be coached up to succeed under Brady's system as much as possible. Up to Brennan to perform.

Why are you even engaging a Mizzou fan on anything football related? It’s a SEC welfare school.

"I will not be the HC at Alabama"

Coaches lie. Not saying he's leaving, just saying its not like he's gonna say Yeah soon as the clock hits zero, Im out this biotch.

I don't have to. NO COACH is going to say he's leaving in the middle of a NC run.

I’ve seen and heard a million coach speak answers. His was enthusiastic enough to seem genuine. Especially when coupled with $1.8 or so million additional reasons to hang around.
