It's an extension. Jimbo wanted an extension before the season even began.

It seems like a simple question, lets try it again.
So it was a performance based raise/extension and has nothign to do with texas rumors?

You seem upset I don't have all the answers.

Jimbo wants to be in Tallahassee. Period.
Were you the same guy who said Dameyune wasn't coming to Auburn, and then said it was only because we were gonna pay him over 3 mill a year?
I get my FSU fans confused, so it may have been someone else.

Cowherd and Chip Brown from orangebloods say Big Money is going to be thrown at Jimbo.
He gone

Really, going to go to the well for this trite response?

You said FSU isn't worried about Texas, i find that to be an odd statement considering the timing.
There is nothing wrong with locking down your coach when connected to rumors...hell we did it before the sec championship game. I just found your statement to be odd considering the timing and circumstances.

This is the same contract that was being negotiated before the rumors. As I already said, I have no idea what details were changed.

ok, so it could very well be in response to texas?
Sheesh, that was a lot of tap dancing to get to that.

I'm kind of wondering this too now.

Flip a coin. Heads = yes; tails = no.

He was, but I believe it was 1 million. Either way, Craig doesn't make near that.

So you don't have all the answers but you do know, without a doubt, that FSU isn't worried about Texas and that Jimbo loves Tallahassee? Cool.

If you can't logically think that one through, I can't help you.

chip brown from orangebloods just posted this
Fisher has signed his contract extension with Florida State. And while it would appear that move makes him seem less likely to consider leaving for a job like Texas, it actually makes him more attractive.
Let me explain: Fisher's new deal takes his salary to $4.1 million but it takes his buyout from $2 million (under his previous deal) to zero.
Fisher could now leave FSU even more easily than before

I'm logically thinking through the fact that you're taking/making positive assumptions for FSU as gospel truth and use the retort of "I don't have all the answers" when it comes to anything remotely negative. To say that Jimbo loves Tallahassee is fine, but to think that Texas is no threat and that it's pure coincidence that this new contract comes when reports of Texas setting their sights on Jimbo have started coming out is just blind homerism.
So to reiterate what my fellow barner asked, you're saying this extension is solely due to the success of this year and has nothing the do with the Texas rumors?

As I said, contracts aren't normally one way streets. If his buyout was reduced to zero, there is something that Jimbo's side conceded.
And if Jimbo was seriously considering the Texas job, he didn't need to sign the extension. He has already put off signing the extension for weeks. Another two weeks wouldn't have made a difference.
The FSU insiders usually have pretty solid info. I'll take the fact that Jimbo doesn't want to leave FSU + the fact he signed the extension as a pretty solid indicator that he won't be leaving. Could he end up leaving? Sure. But signing the extension makes it less likely.

So based on your logic, I should have all of the details about the K? Including why the extension was signed last night? And if I don't have those answers, my statements about Jimbo's satisfaction with FSU and Tallahassee mean less?
Get fricked.

I think his point is fair. Don't represent to know more than you do then shite on anything suggesting something you don't like.
Especially if you are the FSU poster who had all the info on craig last year.
