Saw that movie before. It's called MIKE ARCHER.

Muschamp has a much better resume now than Archer did in '87.
Side note: I have a good friend that played under Archer(no I will not say who and no it is not CharlesLSU) and he argues to this day Archer never should have been fired.
He blames it on Arnsbarger slacking on recruiting.

And then everyone can go on to hating our next coach.

Yeah. I have several friends that played for both Arsparger & Archer.
Arsparger brought in Tommy Hodson, Wendell Davis, Eddie Fuller, Harvey Williams, Eric Hill, Greg Jackson, Karl Dunbar, Tony Moss & Eric Andolsek, Ralph Norwood, Sammy Martin & NAcho Albergamo etc.
Your friend should try to remember better..

Tiger_n_ATL dictionary:
"moderately competent"--loses no fewer than 3 games every 2 years, and is in the national championship game a minimum of once every 4 years, provided that in doing so he runs the style of offense the LSU fans want to watch.

Don't feel like les gives us a chance to win. No confidence in him

Check this out, from si.com
Wade Phillips removed the "kick me" sign critics have attached to his Cowboys tenure and launched into a spirited defense of his credentials Wednesday afternoon. Hours after owner Jerry Jones responded to a question about his coach's future, Phillips wondered aloud how many coaches have won more games than him since the start of the 2007 season. The answer is one -- New England's Bill Belichick. There's more. It became clear the more Phillips talked that he believes he hasn't received the respect he deserves. He acknowledged his inability to win in the playoffs factors into the slight, but stated that winning in the regular season breeds winning in the playoffs, and he's confident that will happen.

hate to break it to everyone but there is no way in hell Miles leaves...he may be fired at the end of next season pending....but there is no way he is going to leave under his own free will except maybe to Michigan and I honostly see LSU helping him get there next year by telling him they will release him from his contract to go. but i seriously doubt he quits to go anywhere else.
it's the dallas freakin cowboys are you kidding me......I hate the cowboys don't get me wrong but it's about as high up on the football pecking order as far as these things go....
Was less an assistante in dallas briefly at one point?
P.S. - I'd be shock if this was true but i'd even more shock if they offerd him and he turned it down.
HOWEVER YOU MISSED THE REALLY IMPORTANT THING ON THAT SITE:
quote:
LSU:
Sources tell us that Tennessee Wide Receivers coach Frank Wilson has spoken with Head Coach Les Miles in regards to the vacancy created by Running
Backs coach Larry Porter becoming the Head Coach at Memphis.
this would be very good isn't wilson know as a allstar recruiter, didn't UT steal him away from tricky nicky, or I'm i thinking of the wrong guy.

There's something else people haven't seemed to notice that's significant on that site.
Hmmm, I wonder who goes to Ridgeway that Porter might be recruiting... (eta: that's maclin's coach)
quote:
Memphis: Our sources tell us grad assistant Martin Hankins has been in south Louisiana recruiting. We hear head coach Larry Porter could be close to hiring Ridgeway HS (Memphis, TN) head coach Ron Brown.

Two straight BCS HCs to NFL..LSU hires it's third straight BCS winning HC from a second-in-state program? Cincy is in Ohio state!

Oh sweet Jesus, please send Miles to Dallas. I don't ask you for much. In Your name, I pray. Amen.

Jack Del Rio will be available.

It was interesting to hear the local sports guru, Randy Galloway, talking last week about Milesd and how much he liked and admired him, in spite of his brain bubble moments. Galloway is all plugged in at The Cowboys.... maybe there's a little name dropping going on over in Valley Ranch and he picked up on it.
Of course, last week every sports show in America was talking about Miles instead of Tiger Woods.
