Per Football Scoop report this morning. O-line will have great sets of eyes on it and should be one of the best coached units in the country.

Also all but confirmed Cortez Hankton as WR coach!

Big additions! Geaux Tigers

Yeah. If you like Davis, this isn't good news.

Very nice. The coaching staff is really coming together. I think Kelly has a good mix of recruiters and technical staff.

I'm tempering my expectations for 2022, but I bet this team is competing for the SEC title and playoffs very soon.

Why not? Haven't they already announced Davis is being retained, and this article says Quinn is joining as an offensive analyst. Sounds like a great move.

A&M was trying to steal Brad Davis.

Doubtful he leaves though. Quinn is coming as an analyst.

I see a ton of people associated with ND football with Brian Kelly ended up coming with him. But the trolls on here told me no one wanted to come with Kelly. I can't believe they were wrong.

Quinn looks to be taking the same role at LSU as he had at ND. Brad Davis is safe imo unless he chooses to leave. Which I don’t think he will

It's never a good thing for someone with a strong connection to your boss, with similar credentials as you, working on the staff.

A reasonable person would conclude that Kelly kept Davis on for the transition but that he has different plans for year 2.

Davis was a respected OL coach before and in his time at LSU has garnered a great deal of admiration from the team and fans. Unless he has a better opportunity I doubt he leaves any time soon.

Quinn is likely still being paid by ND for this season, just coming here to serve as an analyst for a year. This is a move similar to what Saban does

Having lots of good, experienced coaches in the room isn’t a bad thing or an ominous sign for anyone. It’s just smart.

Notre Dame fired him. What’s up with the love affair with this dude?

Never underestimate the power of having capable coaches as analyst. We've seen saban lose position coaches and even coordinators sometimes and have the replacement ready to go on his analyst staff.

Having said that I don't think the end game here is to replace Brad Davis, I think our o line needs all the help it can get and he will help brad, but if he needs to step in he can.

Supposedly a decent recruiter.... but yea I'd still prefer Davis over Quinn as far as O-Line coach goes.
Quinn reaped alot of Hiestands notoriety as an OL coach.
But Quinn in an analyst spot is perfectly a-ok by me.

A reasonable person would conclude that if Brad Davis does a good job with the O-Line during the transition, he isn't going to be fired.

Isn't Davis the only hold over from Orgeron's staff? If Kelly was going to keep a coach on for transition purposes, it's not going to be a guy like Brad Davis that hasn't even been here a calendar year.
