Bert was a homerun considering what he just accomplished. Hog fans never change. I swear. Pelphry I get, but you also forget you had a guy (Altmann) walk away because of grade and drug problems. The one thing you can say about Long, he left it better than he got it.

Leach? You think that is a homerun hire? Do you want a return to Post Petrino? Lane would have been a great hire. Norvell was hot name. I think Fuentes would have been the best hire of all of them.

Fuentes had everything you wanted for a Arkansas coach. You can hire someone to get into St Louis on his staff.

Has Tulsa connections
Has Texas connections
Has Arkansas connections
Can go into Virginia Beach and Atlanta

Not a bad hire, gets Arky back into TX recruiting. Not a sexy hire like Kiffin or Leach but solid

Does it bother anyone else that Clemson’s offense got better after he left?... Watson’s development had a lot to do with it, but it just seems kinda odd to me.

No because they steadily improved the talent there

He was the guy I thought they were targeting though. I would have made him get a restraining order before I moved on. I get why he did not leave, but I think you had to make him tell you no 2 times at least.

Eh, not after you look before he got there and while he was there.

2010
24.0 ppg
334.5 ypg

2011
33.6 ppg
440.8 ypg

2012
41.0 ppg
512.7 ypg

He joined in 2011

We will never know but I don't think we ever even made him say no once

Talent got better and they streamlined the offense... a lot less trickery type stuff they were doing when Morris first got there.

Will be very interesting to see what Arkansas is able to do offensively next year... there’s some decent talent to work with, but a total 180 in philosophy.

Those aren't homerun hires man. Leach is a retread, Norvell and Kiffin are in the same category as Morris

No he wasn’t. Anyone that knows dick about Arkansas football knew that he would never get above 8 wins.

I will admit that while I always knew he did a great job at SMU considering the context. The more you look into his total history the better it gets.
