Well, move on and bring Aranda back. If he carefully vets a good OC that can develop QB’s, he would do very well at LSU.

As long as the next coach is not a combination of Farmer Fran and Patrick Star, I am good with any Coach, Woodward chooses.

Every candidate is flawed unless you are getting Nick Saban

Saban is very flawed at this stage of the game "starting over" somewhere new.

Recruiting wise, if he stays around top 5 or 10 every year, he would have a talent pool close to what is at LSU now. Maybe it is Aranda, being that it was stated that 3 coaches would be retained, well, he’s worked with MJ and CR, he knows their recruiting abilities and that would address the recruiting issue, that’s 2 of the 3 coaches. Just a thought.

Agreed. I also think that literally not one single person here knows anything, including TBL. I simply don’t understand why so many hang on to every word of certain individuals here.

Scotty tries to keep it quiet. So whomever the “insiders” might have as contacts here, could and realistically are worthless when dealing with Scotty. Especially with his first and probably only football hire.

With that being said, only way Napier is coming here is if literally everyone else on his list told us to frick off. There is absolutely no logic in him hiring Napier.

That is called covering your arse. TBL is like a weather reporter, 50% chance it rains. He plays both sides of the net, and claim he was right. I don’t believe shite from him.

That wasn’t my point..in fact you actually are making my point. Why are Riley and Aranda so far out ahead of everyone else? They’re not that special.

He didn't say that. He said he wouldn't surprised if it goes either way. He basically implied it's fluid and could change at anytime. You guys should know this by now. OU is not a poor program who will lie down and die letting LSU steal their coach and arse ream them in the SEC for years. They would want to hit the ground running immediately in the SEC and if they let Riley walk they're stupid. Obviously arrogance comes into play here. Not just that but Riley may already have his mind set to leave and OU can't do anything to change it. He may be more than money.

I was never convinced he was leaving. Coaches love using LSU to get what they want. That's the downside of a university in LSU's position who spends. We always seem like we end up on the wrong side of the altar in these searches. If Riley leaves it will be OU's own undoing with their arrogant arse boosters split while the other is actually reasonable and realize how important he is to their program. This may be their issue here and why he's tired of their shite because LSU probably promised him the world anything he wants when he's established here. We gave control to 2 retards what do you think they will do with Riley?
