Not trying to steal the thread---I'm done now...
Took the Doobie's out of their standard driving rock and roll - "Long Train Running"/"China Grove" into a pop thing of "Takin' It To The Streets" type.
Steely Dan was slightly different because he sang some back up on one or two early albums. Moved them out of the intricate, precision jazz based heart of Becker & Fagan to more blatant pop though the band had many main stream hits/albums before he came on board for real. Becker/Fagan might have been chasing the Dragon a bit much right around then.
Fortunately, Detroit and everybody else shut him down when he started doing Motown covers.

As long as he’s coach only, this seems like a decent move for them. Just need another person to GM

be real in terms of coaching he’s actually pretty solid.

Funny this wasn’t the take when he was being mentioned as a candidate for the LSU job.

Nah. I can make it pretty funny with a small audience around. Things are always funnier when there's an element of truth, right?

He’s already ran one AFC South franchise into the ground. He’s trying to go 2 for 2.
Yep. Only needs Jax to keep up with Michael McDonald who single handedly destroyed the Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan.

Kind of like Phil Collins, McDonald is sort of a generic musician. No soul. Plus, as noted, he ruined The Doobie Brothers so no like.

He also knows how to coach QBs so Lawrence would probably approve

According to his past NFL experience, he will either leave Trevor Lawrence high and dry in two years or Trevor will demand a trade in a few years.

They are pumping Pederson right now on the local media. Also O’Brien as a great x’s and o’s coach.
The Jags are going to screw this up.
Best thing Shad Khan could do is fire Baalke as gm and start fresh again.
I would also be interested in his son Tony who is a big analytics guy the reigns and do the hiring. He has done wonders with his wrestling empire.

He’ll help Trevor Lawrence, so even if he’s not successful record wise, it could still be a net positive

The only guy to destroy a roster worse than Urban did. Impressive.
if ownership just lets him coach, & hire a GM, it could work out, he won at houston, but he was a horrible GM

Lawrence looks like a bust so far

For sure. Don't buy the hype that a rookie qb needs a team around him to be good. No, any QB needs good players and coaches around them to WIN! They can be good without winning, and you can easily see whether they can make certain throws and if they have accuracy.

Lawrence is shitting the bed against NFL defenses the same way he shite the bed against the NFL defense he played against in January 2020. While Burrow is just continuing his dominance at LSU in the NFL.
