@bmarcello: I asked Gus Malzahn about NFL rumors. Would he interview for an NFL job? "I'm happy at Auburn and I think I've made that clear."
Gus Malzahn will be in Auburn for a while, guys.
He isn't going to coach the Cleveland Browns.

Not saying he will leave or not, but that's what they all say. When has a coach ever responded to that question with "Yeah I love it at X University, but I could definitely see myself coaching in the NFL or at another school in the next couple years."
The proof they won't leave lies in financial commitments like buyouts and such and even that won't block someone entirely

you keep beating Auburn and we'll keep winning the conference and playing for NCs...deal?

I actually like what Briles said about it. Essentially said that he would look at it because it is business but wanted to stay put. You have to like and appreciate his honesty about it.

Come on TT. You're smart enough to know you can't take what a coach says about another job at face value. Just have to hope their happy.

We have 3 BCSCG appearances in the last 10 years
We also have more SEC titles than any other school the last 15 years

If he was interested he wouldn't let some random arse reporter know a few days before the biggest game of his life.

Since Gus Malzah has been at Auburn, 8-5 (turnaround from 5-7), 14-0 (National Champs), 8-5 (tough year after losing over 30 players from the prior season), 12-1 (playing in National Championship again).

owned Auburn
won the sec
played in the bcscg
gone something like 55-14

won the sec

played in the bcscg

so now playing in the BCSCG isn't noteworthy?
if you lose to FSU can we wipe that off your list too?
Okay, and? I didn't say he hasn't done a good job, just that as an LSU fan he doesn't scare me. And why should he considering our record against him and Miles' general ownership of the Auburn Tigers?

(not entirely true, in the last 11 years)
In the last 10 years Auburn has 2 PERFECT seasons along with two BCSCG appearances

Auburn has more SEC titles than any other school over the past 10 years
( I can manipulate the numbers to favor my team as well)
